About

This is the personal site of Eric Marcarelli. The subtitle of this site, Alder Forest, represents my vision for it as a polyculture of thoughts on diverse topics. There are writings on subjects ranging from technology to nature, from food to history. There’s also book reviews, my short stories and poems, and updates about my projects. Like the many organisms that thrive together in a forest, I intend these topics and types of content to merge together in symbiotic ways, ultimately creating a unique and interesting experience. Even if you don’t share a passion for everything discussed here, I hope you’ll find something compelling as you explore the forest.

A note about user accounts: Because of a massive increase in spam bots, I disabled user registration. Since new posts are currently rare, I don’t foresee much of a problem, but if you would like to comment on any of the posts, please contact me and I will open registration for you.
